Dear W 68th St Block Association Participant:

It was wonderful to have activity together in 2013 and to begin to form a street pride.

Please review the Thursday meeting agenda listed below. Most timely and urgently needing your attention is the “Food Emporium Supermarket Replacement Initiative”.

The link shows how CARTS (Community Alliance to Restore The Supermarket) is attempting to rally our community to demonstrate its need for a replacement market.

Please become a Supermarket Supporter by joining the specified facebook page and boost the chances for success. Numbers will greatly matter in this effort.

If a Petition has not circulated in your building, do let us know.

Finally, please print the announcement and post it in your building as we have not yet completed our e-mailing list for every resident of our street.

Your Steering Committee Thanks You and Wishes You

La Boite en Bois celebrates 26 years of serving West 68th Street

La Boite en Bois

Pictured above: Escargot, French Onion Soup, Profiteroles

La Boite en Bois is celebrating its 26th year of serving 68th Street. With its rustic ambiance, it feels as though you are in a bistro in the French countryside. Stop in for some French classics such as onion soup, pate and escargot. They also have an extensive Brunch menu so you don’t have to travel far on Sunday morning for French Toast and Eggs Benedict. For a relaxing lunch, they serve everything from a La Boite Burger to Cobb Salad. After the pre theater crowd leaves at 7:30 to head to Lincoln Center, they serve many locals and love to see their neighbors on the block. All of their menu items are available to take out and they offer local delivery. For more information check out their website >
